Neo Solar Power (NSP) is showcasing its new low-cost, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cell, dubbed the Perfect19, at the PV Taiwan exhibition in Taipei. The six-inch cell allows conversion efficiency rate of over 19%, claimed to be the highest efficiency generated by today’s mass-produced solar cell manufacturers.
The cell is made from a true square monocrystalline wafer, allowing 2% more power-generating area than conventional mono cells. Modules formed from the cells are said to yield over 260W and 315W of power from 60-cell and 72-cell formats, respectively. The cells’ and modules’ uniform colour make them suitable for BIPV applications.
“We led the industry in launching the Black 19 at the EU PVSEC in Hamburg back in July, and it was a great technological achievement for us”, commented Dr. Quincy Lin, NSP’s chairman. “The significance of the product is that it demonstrates our ability to make high-efficiency cells with conventional low-cost equipment. We believe this new product will be the perfect choice for customers and will satisfy their demands for high efficiency and aesthetics.”
