US project developer Lincoln Renewable Energy (LRE) is equipping its New Jersey Oak Solar project with Solar Power Technologies’ (SPT) monitoring and management systems.
When completed later this year, the 10MW system in Fairfield Township, Cumberland will be one of the largest non-utility-owned solar projects on the East Coast, and SPT’s Clarity monitoring and optimization system and Intelligent Array management tools will be overseeing its performance. Powering the 100-acre site will be 55,000 panels, which will be connected to Atlantic City Electric's distribution system.
“At LRE, our philosophy is to bring the very best technology to bear in building and operating our sites,” said Declan Flanagan, Lincoln Renewable Energy’s CEO. “We are keen to explore the benefits of establishing intelligent site management processes with the Clarity system, and believe this will play a part in LRE maintaining its leadership edge.”
“Our Clarity system provides the flexibility and scalability that will enable an unprecedented level of insight and control in the Oak Solar project, providing actionable O&M information based on user defined business rules without the unmanageable data overload associated with traditional string monitoring on this scale,” added Ray Burgess, CEO of Solar Power Technologies.
