The Bulgarian State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC – DKEVR) has published on its website a proposal to lower the country’s solar feed-in tariff rates.
Photovoltaic installations under 5kWp will receive 3.7% cuts to the incentive they receive–a proposed reduction from €420/MWh (BGN823) to €405/MWh (BGN793). Larger systems are also likely to be affected by a 3.58% decrease.

Most other renewable energy sources in the country, such as wind turbines, will receive higher rates than previously announced.
The report is published in Bulgarian on DKEVR’s website and will be publicly discussed on March 30 at the regulator’s office.
