The international engineering company M+W Zander has handed over a new solar module factory to Q-Cells subsidiary, Solibro. The final acceptance took place at the Thalheim factory in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Even though a harsh winter prevented work for three weeks, M+W Zander delivered on budget and on schedule. The new factory has an annual nominal capacity of 90MW and a production floor area of around 15,000sq meters. The facility will manufacture thin-film solar modules based on CIGS technology.
