‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member GCL System Integrated Technology (GCL-SI) has appointed a new chairman and chief executive officer as Zhu Gongshan, the majority shareholder with the GCL group steps down from the post of chairman of the board.

Current CEO, Shu Hua has been appointed the new chairman, while Eric Luo, former CEO of Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) and before that Wuxi Suntech has joined the company to fill the CEO role.

Luo was said to have previously resigned from SFCE ‘in order to focus on his other personal business,’ in June, 2017.

"We are privileged to have Eric join our team, a strategic movement for the Company, as it accelerates GCL-SI's expansion and integration in global markets and furthers its development in the ex-China EPC and the energy storage businesses," said Shu Hua, Chairman of GCL-SI.

Eric Luo added, "2018 will be an exciting time for the Company to continue its solid growth track in the global market as we have been working on enhancing collaboration with both upstream and downstream companies in the industry value chain. The company has also made strategic investments by acquiring an approximately 10% equity share in GCL New Energy (0451.HK), which owns the largest solar operating assets in the world. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to be a member of a global platform for clean energy and I will work with every stakeholder to drive the Company to a new level while increasing shareholder returns."
