Vertically-integrated solar firm and industrial goods company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged an EPC contract with the Largest Chlor-Alkali manufacturer in India, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemical Limited (GACL), for setting up a 15MW solar PV plant in Gujarat.
The project is located at the Gujarat Solar Park at Charanka.

This is BHEL’s first ground-mounted PV project in Gujarat. It is currently providing EPC services for more than 180MW of PV projects across India.
BHEL had 370MW in its solar PV portfolio at the end of FY2016/17, of which 360MW was ground-mount and 10MW was rooftop. Of this, 170MW of ground-mount and 2.29MW of rooftop are now in operation.
