Ingeteam supplying 620MW of 1500 Vdc PV inverters to Australian projects

Spanish PV inverter manufacturer Ingeteam is supplying its ‘INGECON SUN’ PowerMax B series 1500 Vdc central inverters to five large Australian solar power plants, totalling 620MW. 

Ingeteam said the supply contracts included 377 units of 1500 Vdc inverters, as well as 80 power stations for medium voltage power. Three PV inverters, LV/MV transformers, medium voltage switchgear, auxiliary services transformer and low voltage switchboard will also be supplied.

A further 47 power stations of the INGECON SUN CON40 series and three PV inverters, LV/MV transformers, medium voltage switchgear, auxiliary services transformer and low voltage switchboard, all housed in a 40 foot container will also be supplied to the Australian projects.
As a result, Ingeteam said that after five years of being in the Australian market it had surpassed the 1GW milestone of orders.
