Scatec Solar planning large-scale projects in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Myanmar

Scatec Solar is at early stage development of 50MW+ projects in the South and Southeast Asian nations of Vietnam, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
According to a presentation of Q4 2017 results, the firm is negotiating its first 50MW project in Vietnam, is awaiting approval of a 50MW project in Bangladesh and has submitted proposals for a 70MW project in Myanmar.
After a lengthy period of Industry worry over Vietnam's solar PPA parameters, news of large-scale projects coming under construction is beginning to filter through.
Last year Scatec Solar started construction or achieved financial close on 794MW of projects including 197MW in Malaysia, 162MW in Brazil, 35MW in Honduras and 400MW in Egypt.
