Solar Steel supplies 45.6MW of trackers for Panama project

Solar Steel, a division of  Gonvarri Steel Services, will supply 45.6MW of its TracSmart Single-Axis trackers for a PV project located in David, in the state of Chiriquí, Panama.

The PV project is divided into four phases of 11.4MW, with each segment tabbed for an expected completion date by mid-2018.

TracSmart’s self-powered and wireless trackers were selected for the project, which allows for additional reduction in civil works and wiring costs — making the trackers’ operation independent of the grid.

With this order, Solar Steel has provided 289MW of its products to the Central America region.
