SPI Solar has announced that it will enter a engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with a subsidiary of KDC Solar. As part of the partnership SPI Solar will develop and build three PV projects for KDC Solar at the Grand Cascades Golf Resort and Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2012.
The three installations, which will be owned and run by KDC Solar, will provide more than 8,000,000 kWh in annual generating capacity to help power the resort’s operations. The project, part of the two companies preferred provider agreement, will feature a combination of fixed ground mounted systems and bespoke solar parking and car port arrays.

KDC Solar CEO Hal Kamine commented, “We are very happy to have the opportunity to provide the Mountain Creek and Crystal Springs Resorts with clean, low cost, long-term solar energy installations are an example of the resort’s commitment to the environment, and a complement to KDC Solar’s commitment to “behind-the-meter” solar electric systems for businesses and jobs in New Jersey.

The announcement follows KDC Solar’s declaration that its 2.2MW solar PV project in Vineland, New Jersey has begun commercial operation, earlier in May, 2012.
