Independent renewable energy provider sPower announced that they were awarded a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Silicon Valley Power (SVP) to provide 49.5MW of wind power.
The Sand Hill Wind facilities will be developed within the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area (APWRA) in Alameda County, California. sPower expects 25 wind turbines to be developed at the site, with commercial operations set to begin before the end of 2020.
