Solar PV solutions provider Nextpower has registered record quarterly electrical balance of system (eBOS) bookings in the second quarter of 2026 and completed the acquisition of the power conversion assets of Zigor Corporation and its US-based subsidiary, Apex Power.

More than a year after expanding its suite of products with the acquisition of electrical infrastructure manufacturer Bentek Corporation, Nextpower’s eBOS revenue is forecast to exceed US$100 million for the year.

Bookings for its eBOS trunk connector NX PowerMerge, which was launched in September 2025, increased cumulative bookings to over 850MW and also achieved UL certification.

Across the entire company, the backlog grew to more than US$5.5 billion, which, according to Nextpower, reflects strong customer demand and bookings momentum across core tracker products, accelerating growth in complementary platform technologies.

“Nextpower delivered record quarterly revenue and backlog, with strong bookings momentum across our business,” said Dan Shugar, CEO and founder of Nextpower.

“These results confirm that customers are responding positively to our expanding clean power technology platform, including strong adoption of eBOS and growing traction across the broader product portfolio.”

As highlighted by Shugar, the company’s revenue in Q2 2026 reached a record of US$935 million, up year-over-year from the US$864 million registered in 2025. Its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) are also up year-on-year from US$215 million in Q2 2025 to US$233 million in Q2 2026.

“This quarter’s financial performance and strong cash generation reinforce the durability of our business model and the execution of our operating platform,” said Chuck Boynton, CFO of Nextpower.

“We remain focused on disciplined capital allocation maintaining a strong balance sheet, and investing in capabilities that complement our core business, deepen customer relationships, and drive long-term profitable growth,” added Boynton.

Furthermore, the company raised its fiscal year 2027 outlook—which runs from April 2026 to the end of March 2027—to be in the range of US$4.1-4.4 billion, up from US$4-4.4 billion, while its expected adjusted EBITDA has been raised to be in the range of US$870-930 million, up from US$845-930 million.

Nextpower completes acquisition of Zigor’s power conversion assets

On top of releasing its financial results for Q2 2026, the company also completed the acquisition of Spanish-based Zigor Corporation’s power conversion business and its US-based subsidiary, Apex Power.

Announced in May of this year, Nextpower acquired the assets in a transaction valued at approximately US$80.5 million. With the acquisition completed, Nextpower adds to its solar PV solutions portfolio UL-certified inverters for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the US and IEC certified products for Europe and rest of world.

NextPower’s power conversion product portfolio offers central inverter solutions and modular configurations up to 5.2MVA, with communication exclusively via a hard-wired, cyber-secure site-level optical fibre network.

Regarding its entrance into the power conversion space, the company wrote in the Q2 2026 shareholder letter that its goal is to deliver inverter and PCS systems that “provide industry-leading uptime and dependable performance, helping asset owners improve project returns and providing best-in-class reliability and availability to enhance utility grid resilience.”

Moreover, Nextpower is accelerating the buildout of US manufacturing capacity for its inverter products across multiple locations with deliveries ramping up in early 2027. It also expects to have more than 10GW of capacity to be online within 12 months.

“Reliable power conversion is fundamental to modern energy infrastructure, and customers are looking for solutions designed for long-term reliability and serviceability at utility scale,” said Shugar.

The completion of Zigor Corporation’s power conversion business and Apex Power comes days after Nextpower completed the acquisition of battery energy storage system (BESS) integrator Prevalon Energy. Completed earlier this month, Prevalon’s acquisition adds an incremental backlog of more than US$300 million.

Nextpower also entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Germany-based solar provider Zimmermann PV-Steel Group, which would expand the company’s reach to 15 new countries. Once the acquisition is completed, Nextpower expects an annual revenue run rate of nearly €300 million (US$345 million) from Zimmermann’s business.
