The largest merchant solar cell producer, Neo Solar Power (NSP) has reported a preliminary net profit in 2014 of NT$243 million (US$ US$7.7 million).
NSP’s total revenue for the year was confirmed at NT$27,580 million (US$875 million) with a gross profit of NT$1,786 million (US$56.67 million) and a gross margin of 6.48%.
The company recently said that it expected the PV market to continue to expand at double-digit levels in 2015 and expected solar cell ASPs to also improve.
Several highlights in the year include a new cell supply agreement with Canadian Solar and sales of several PV power plants through its subsidiary GES.
However, the company was impacted by the latest round of US anti-dumping duties and has been considering the relocation of some of its solar cell production outside Taiwan.
