OPDE has started installing a new 19MW, four-plant PV project portfolio in Italy and Spain.
With a capacity of 8.8MW, the system in Ablitas, Spain is the largest in the portfolio and is scheduled to come online by the end of the year. The three remaining plants – in Pozzolo Formigaro (4.1MW), Sale (1.7MW) and Pontesura (4.66MW) – are all in north-west Italy. The entire portfolio will be equipped with modules from Trina Solar and Canadian Solar, SMA inverters and Mecasolar tracking and mounting systems.
This year, OPDE has sold three systems, with a combined capacity of 13.2MW, for €55 million and it is already in negotiations with several European and North American investors over the sale of this new portfolio.
