After the immediately effective resignation of CEO, president, and member of the board, Robert Pico, Opel International has appointed Leon Lee Pieral, current president of Odis as CEO and president. Pieral (pictured) has been with the company since 2001 and is also a member of the board. In addition, Opel has also increased Frank Middleton’s role as VP of marketing and COO of Opel Solar to include COO of all Opel companies.
Pico previously told Opel’s board that he wanted to retire from full-time duties at the company. He will remain as a consultant, assisting in customer accounts and other important matters with the company.
“We wish Bob well. We thank him for all his accomplishments at Opel and look forward to a continued working relationship with him on strategic projects important to building upon the commercial success Opel has achieved as the leading innovator in the HCPV industry,” said Lawrence R. Kunkel, chairman.
The infrastructure for the board has also changed. Lawrence Kunkel is now chairman, while Denis Colbourne, former chair, remains on the board and serves on the audit and compensation committees.
