Crystalline solar diffusion technology specialist Amtech Systems has reported record equipment bookings for its 2010 financial year, which ended September 30. Total orders from PV manufacturers reached US$161 million, with fourth-quarter bookings worth US$41 million, according to the company.
“The record total orders we have generated this fiscal year reflect our continued success in supporting our existing customers and an increasing number of top-tier solar customers that recognize our superior solar diffusion technology,” commented J.S. Whang, CEO of Amtech Systems. “We continue to see excellent quotation activity and remain focused on continued successful execution of our solar growth strategy and further expanding our solar market share.”
Total solar equipment backlog at September 30, 2009, was US$27.9 million. Amtech said that it had booked a record US$187 million in total orders in its 2010 fiscal year.
