Solar cell and module manufacturer China Sunergy has delivered 7MW of its polycrystalline PV modules for Oskomera Solar Power Solutions’ (OSPS) residential rooftop projects in the Netherlands.
OSPS — a specialist in the development of large-scale PV projects and high volume small-scale residential projects — will install the modules on the rooftops of 2,500 Dutch households as part of a project it won through a competitive bid process run by the Dutch Association of House Owners (VEH).
Dennis Gieselaar, CEO of OSPS commented: “End user satisfaction is vital to us and is driving us to cautiously select reliable suppliers to meet different requirements and maximise investment returns. We are really impressed by the performance of China Sunergy’s solar modules during the VEH Project. Construction commenced in October, and we are looking forward to further collaborating with China Sunergy in many other projects and in new markets.”
China Sunergy highlights that the solar market in the Netherlands has been growing steadily and notes that it is one of the first markets in Europe to reach grid parity. The company believes that the Dutch market will grow even faster as a result of a new governmental incentive published by NL Agency for house owners which provides a 15% subsidy for PV equipment.
According to CBS statistics, installed PV capacity in 2011 reached 40MW.
