CNPV Solar Power has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with Australian renewable energy company MPower for the supply of crystalline-silicon solar PV modules over the next three years.
Under the terms of the deal, the vertically integrated solar manufacturer expects to provide MPower with 30MW of modules from 2010 to 2012. This includes 5MWp of scheduled delivery during 2010, with the remaining 10MW and 15MW slated for delivery in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
The Australian firm says it will offer the CNPV panels to its entire customer base.
The companies, which have an existing relationship, say that the new contract will help both partners to develop additional solar projects in markets such as Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
The deal is the latest in a string of short- and longer-term module supply agreements—totaling close to 400MW—signed this year between CNPV and customers in Europe, Asia, and other regions.
