GP Solar revealed that it is supplying 82 optical measuring systems for process and quality control to an undisclosed Taiwanese customer. The customer is building five new 60MW production lines and brings the order volume totals to around €4 million. Delivery will be through September.
“With this large-scale project, our customer is taking a pioneering step in the direction of cost savings in gigawatt production because, in addition to our usual measuring systems, we are for the first time ever implementing microcrack inspection with the GP NANO-D .Scan within the printing process. Furthermore, we will also deploy our new central recipe administration tool, GP Central Recipe Tool .NET, which will give the manufacturer central control over process and quality control for the entire production,” explains Dr. Eric Rüland, managing director of GP Solar.
