Solar Power announced its second supply agreement with German solar installation company Bayer and Raach, SPI’s third 2009 order with the German company. SPI will provide 1.5MW of its 200W modules for the initial phase requirement of a 5MW system Bayer and Raach is installing in Bavaria. Since the system will be a multi-phase project over the 2009 and 2010 calendar years, it will ultimately call for a total of 5MW of SPI’s 200W modules.
“Bayer and Raach have placed orders with us in excess of 3MW so far this year. We look forward to continuing to provide Bayer and Raach with our top performing modules and innovative racking products as they to pursue their business development activities throughout Germany and Southern Europe,” said Bradley Ferrell, president of SPI’s commercial sales division.
Bayer and Raach serve a wide European market including Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Slovenia and are in a prime position to further SPI’s reach into the European market.
