Major China-based PV inverter manufacturer, Sungrow Power Supply has supplied 3MW of inverters to Japan since the beginning of the year.
Sungrow said the inverters would be deployed for various commercial rooftop PV projects.
“As early as 2005, our inverters have already been applied in Japan” said, Guibiao Zheng. “Sungrow made a breakthrough by this recent mass delivery and we are consequently more confident about our upcoming performance in Japan for the year and beyond. More Japan-specific products are being tested and Sungrow is ready to further exploit this market with our full-fledged PV power system solutions.”
Sungrow was ranked the 3rd largest PV inverter manufacturer in 2012 by MW shipped by IHS.
The company has also recently said it lead work in China to establish a new national standard for PV inverters in the country. The new standard was for grid-connected PV inverters.
