Two of potentially the largest utility-scale PV projects so far planned in China will be supplied modules by Yingli Green Energy. A module supply agreement has been signed with Huanghe Hydropower Development Co for the supply of a total of 110 MW of PV modules for two ground mounted plants to be built in Wulan, Qinghai province and Golmud, Qinghai province. Yingli said the modules are expected to be delivered from June through August of this year.
“We are pleased to establish a business relationship with Huanghe Hydropower and supply our PV modules for the development of these PV power projects, which currently are the largest in China,” commented Liansheng Miao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy. “This new business relationship represents our continued commitment to the China solar PV market, which has experienced rapid growth over the recent two years.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Yingli is contracted to supply modules totalling 30MW a solar project located in Wulan, Qinghai province and 80MW of modules for a solar project located in Golmud, Qinghai province.
