3S Modultec, Meyer Burger’s module technology arm, has won an order to supply its lamination lines to vertically integrated module supplier ZNShine Solar. China-based ZNShine, a member of the ZNShine Group, is currently undergoing an expansion of its facilities in a bid to increase production capacity over the next two years.
The amount and value of the order were not disclosed, although the deal is said to be the start of a new long-term supply relationship between the two companies. The lamination lines will be produced at 3S Modultec’s facility in Lyss, Switzerland, and delivery is anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011.
“This contract is the beginning of a new long term partnership between the Meyer Burger Group and ZNShine Solar,” said William Wang, ZNShine Solar’s CEO. “As we expand our capacity, the Meyer Burger Group will play an important role as one of our key technology partners and we look forward to the working closely with them to increase our production capacity of high quality solar products.”
