OSM Solar, the RTO merger target corporation of Forterra Environmental, revealed its strategic partnership with Solarform Canada. The new partnership will focus on growing OSM’s presence in the North American solar market while further developing its PV manufacturing facility in Ontario. The agreement will see Solarform Canada claim a 50% ownership in OSM Solar in return for assets and revenue stream.
John Gamble, president and CEO of OSM Solar stated, “This move places OSM and Solarform in the forefront of the growing North American solar industry with a world class manufacturing plant and capacity of over 75MW. The arrangement helps to augment the sales efforts of OSM ensuring maximum market penetration and addressing the critical stage of development in the selling cycle and growth profile of OSM”.
OSM plans to change its name to OSM Solarform and will manufacture the Symphony Energy and Juli New Energy PV solar panel system for North America. It will offer both poly- and monocrystalline solar modules from 180W to 310W in three distinct sizes and plans to develop custom manufacturing of BIPV technology. All of the modules will be manufactured at its 75MW facility in Welland, Ontario.
