Solar mounting systems company PanelClaw revealed the addition of Suntech, Yingli Solar, Trina Solar and Kyocera PV modules to its UL 2703 listing. The UL 2703 listing focuses on the evaluation of solar PV mounting systems and is said to help installers diminish grounding costs with modules from the listed manufacturers.
PanelClaw solar mounting products must pass a testing program that includes temperature and humidity cycling, electrical resistance and conductance testing, manufacturing and operational quality reviews and module specific conductivity and mechanical load testing to qualify for UL 2703 recognition.
“Matching Yingli Solar’s PV modules with PanelClaw’s mounting systems eliminates the need to run copper wire for the purposes of equipment grounding, which reduces installation time and system cost for our customers,” said Brian Grenko, director of operations at Yingli Green Energy Americas. “PanelClaw’s certified solution reinforces our commitment to realizing affordable clean energy for all.”
