Patrick Markschläger, managing director of Schott Solar Thin Film, succeeds Christoph Fark as managing director of Schott Solar CSP.
Markschläger took over as managing director for the division on 1 October, with the company noting that he will serve as managing director for both the thin film and CSP divisions. Markschläger has worked in various internationally-based senior positions with Schott since 1999. He holds a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering.
Christoph Fark, the former Schott Solar CSP managing director is now head of strategy for Schott while Nikolaus Benz, Schott Solar CSP’s second managing director, will retain his position and responsibility for R&D and operations of the CSP unit. Joachim Konz, a Schott board of management member, expressed his enthusiasm for Markschläger’s new role and thanked Fark for his work in the CSP business.
