Lockheed Martin presented Polarity with an award to supply its solar-inverter technology for deployable airfield power systems commissioned by the U.S. Air Force. The new system, known as the Integrated Smart BEAR Power System (ISBPS) is projected to diminish fuel consumption by 25% and help sustain modular bases that house thousands of troops. Neither company supplied the terms of the contract.
“The ISBPS is a classic example of how the U.S. military and engineering leaders in the private sector are solving problems and creating long-term solutions for military applications and beyond,” said Wade Goins, president and CEO of Polarity. “Polarity is very pleased to be part of this initiative, which reinforces our commitment to providing high-reliability power systems proven to operate in mission-critical environments.”
