Power management firm, Power-One has opened a 1,600 m² Center of Excellence and Development facility in Terranova Bracciolini, Italy, designed to handle a complete suite of testing and certification for inverter products up to 2MW. Power-One’s Terranova Bracciolini facility already employs over 1,000 employees and includes a 4.5GW production plant for photovoltaic and wind inverters.
“The Center of Excellence and Development offers the ideal conditions to test our devices by exposing them to the most extreme weather conditions,” noted Averaldo Farri, Vice President of Sales, EMEA, Renewable Energy Solutions at Power-One. “This allows us to give our customers the guarantee that our products are reliable for a very long time and is one of the main reasons why we invest in research.”
Power-One said that the new facility was required as it expanded design and engineering capabilities and support business growth. Power-One said it was also relocating its operation, sales, marketing as well as its new Aurora Academy facility to enhance its customer training capacity.
