An unidentified German investor has placed a major follow-on order with a+f for the construction of solar parks in Apulia, southern Italy, using its ‘SunCarrier’ PV systems. Although the company did not say what the order was directly worth, the project(s) was said to have a total value of €37.8 million. The majority of its large-area systems will be used on an area of 31.5 hectares in Apulia.
“Italy is considered to be the sunshine country with extremely high radiation levels,” noted Thomas Petsch, head of management of a+f GmbH. “The compensations are therefore particularly attractive in southern Italy. Due to the long lifetime and dependability of our SunCarrier, we achieve the highest possible reliability for our investors.”
The company noted that it would also start to offer its services in the areas of development, planning, marketing, and installation as well as in operation and service of solar plants in North America.
