Further expanding the company’s portfolio in Italy, Canadian Solar has completed four new solar projects in northern Italy with the help of Blue-Tech Srl, an Italian installation company working in the renewables and PV sectors. The four projects comprise two residential rooftop installations in Sirmione (BS) and Cremona (CR), and two industrial plants in the Municipality of Siziano (PV).
The residential plants in Sirmione and Cremona used Canadian Solar’s 230W CS6P high-performance modules, which were connected directly to the grid. The plants have capacities of 99kWp and 5.52kWp respectively.
The two larger plants are located in the province of Pavia, in Siziano, installed on the grounds of Eurocomp’s new logistics centre. The first of the two fully-integrated photovoltaic systems has a capacity of 670kWp and is kitted out with approximately 2,910 CS6M Canadian Solar modules, while the second plant has a capacity of 811kWp, and has approximately 3,530 of Canadian Solar’s CS6M modules.
Canadian Solar recently opened a sales office in Rome to aid in the company’s expansion in the country.
