Photon Energy’s project portfolio is expanding as the company prepares to commence construction on what will amount to over 32MWp of installed PV capacity throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Scheduled for completion in 2010, the projects range in size from 495kW to 2.3MW and will use string inverters from SMA, central inverters from Advanced Energy, and poly- and monocrystalline solar modules from companies including Yingli Solar, Tianwei New Energy and Aide Solar.
Some of the projects that form the 32MWp total are:
- 1,500kWp in Drnov, Central Bohemian region
- 2,031kWp and 495kWp power plants in Zvíkov, near ?eské Bud?jovice in the South Bohemian region
- 2,350kWp in Komorovice, near Humpolec in the Vyso?ina region
- Three 999kWp power plants in the Babina and Hrušov municipalities in Slovakia.
“We have tripled the size of our engineering team since the beginning of the year to meet the capacity needs of these projects, “ said Ji?í Mazánek, Photon Engineering’s head of engineering. “Despite a very rainy start to the season and some supply chain challenges, we have made steady progress towards preparing these projects for construction. We have the engineering talent and resources in place to construct and deliver top-quality turn-key solar power plants for our clients and for our own portfolio.”
