Etrion and Phoenix Solar have signed a new agreement to build a 1.7MW PV power plant in Rio Martino, in the Lazio region of Italy. Phoenix Solar will design and construct the facility, set to begin construction in October and be completed by year’s end. The system integrator will also provide operations and maintenance services.
The companies are already partnering on another project in Lazio, a 3.5MW system under construction in Borgo Piave, which is scheduled for completion in November.
Both sites will use SMA inverters and Trina Solar crystalline-silicon modules deployed in fixed ground-mount arrays.
The Rio Martino plant is expected to produce over 2 million KWh annually and generate more than 700,000 euros of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization per year, according to Etrion.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The independent power producer just completed its acquisition of the 28MW (AC) Montalto di Castro solar park from SunPower.
