PV Trackers’ 163 PVT 6.0DX dual-axis tracker project, spread out over three sites in Northern California, is reportedly ahead of schedule and under-budget. The school district plants are expected to generate over 1,600MWh of electricity per year after completion in the fall of 2010.
“The PV Trackers team has designed a product that is an extremely cost-effective solution to maximize solar energy collection. The use of pier anchor foundations and easy-to-assemble components make installations a breeze,” said Butterfield Electric CEO Rick Butterfield, the project’s contractor.
“Our experience working with PV Trackers has made us want to collaborate on many more jobs in the future. Having an American tracker company with on-site representation has contributed to our ability to perform ahead of schedule and under budget,” concluded Butterfield.
