Siliken and Alerion Cleanpower have reached an agreement to set up a 14MW PV power plant in the town of Castellaneta, Italy. Once complete, this project will be one of the largest solar installations in the country.
The 14MW installation will consist of 60,800 Siliken SLK60P6L modules rated at 230Wp. The plant will have the capacity to inject an annual amount of 22,34GWh directly into the grid.
As with all of Siliken’s plants, the Castellaneta project will include a piled structure that will be installed at an 30º angle, equipped with the company’s proprietary system for continuous monitoring.
Siliken will deliver this installation as a turnkey project, with final completion expected in June 2010. Siliken will be responsible for the maintenance of the plant for a period of 20 years as of the start of operations.
