TerniEnergia has signed a deal with Italian-Chinese joint venture TRP PVE and its subsidiary Milis Energy to design, build, operate, maintain, and manage a pair of multimegawatt solar PV power plants in Sardinia.
The deal is worth €40 million; the combined rating of the installations will be 12MW.
TerniEnergia will perform O&M activities under the terms of a 20-year contract. Shanghai Solar Energy Science & Technology (CEEG) will supply the crystalline-silicon panels for the plants, which will be built in Milis, in the Sardinian province of Oristano.
The systems are expected to be commissioned between late 2010 and the end of Q1 of 2011, according to the partners.
