Terra Mundus recently broke ground on their new 5.67MW free standing renewable energy plant, as reported by solarbuzz.com. The project, titled “Koeching II” is located in the municipality of Aldersbach in Lower Bavaria. Solea is acting as the general contractor and supplying its SM 175 mono crystalline solar modules for the project, which spans a 15 hectare area of land. Connection to the grid is anticipated for the end of this year.
Solarbuzz.com states that the plant will be using 32,400 solar panels mounted on PV-Eiwa Systemtechnik’s fixed tilt-frame system and Sputnik Engineering will be providing 15 of its Solarmax 330C central inverters.
It is expected that upon its completion the new plant will produce around 5,900MW hours of electricity per year; enough energy for around 4,350 people.
