Status: Under Construction
PV system integrator Solarcentury is set to build what is expected to be the largest PV power plant to date in the Netherlands.
The project, which will boast a capacity of 6MWp, will be located on Ameland Island in the northern section of the country and will be developed for local municipality Amerlander.
Solar Park Ameland will be developed on the island’s airfield and will produce energy that will be fed into the local grid.
Solarcentury will handle the design and construction of the installation, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of the site once it is completed.
Construction of the project is scheduled to begin in September 2015, with the site expected to be connected to the grid in early 2016.
