Work is set to commence on the first phase of what is expected to be a 300MW PV project in Djibouti.
The installation will be developed in the southern portion of the country, in the Grand Bara area. Swiss Company Green Enesys is developing the €360 million project, and expects to install it in six 50MW phases.
Djibouti is aiming to draw 100% of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2020, with president Ismail Omar Guelleh holding a ceremony to mark the first stage of the 300MW project.
