In the closing months of 2008, IBC Solar, Liechtenstein Development Service and the VAF finished work a joint venture to install a solar power system at Peace House in Kabul, Afghanistan. The 4kWP system provides electricity for the building and its 100 inhabitants; powering its water pump during the day and lighting at night. In addition to the installation at Peace House, IBC SOLAR, the VAF and the Lichtenstein Development Service have equipped five schools and hospital wards in Afghanistan with PV systems.
