Steel giant ArcelorMittal has announced plans to develop a 500-600MW solar plant in the Indian state of Karnataka after it withdrew from plans to construct a six million tonnes per annum steel mill.
The firm has reached out to the state government to establish the plant on the same 1,010 hectares of land that was originally acquired for the steel mill.
