IBC Solar Yat Ve Tic has completed a 200kWp PV system, which it believes is the first grid-connected PV power plant in Turkey.
Construction of the plant, which is located in the city of Konya in the central Anatolia region, began in May 2012. It covers an area of 3,500 square metres and as the general contractor IBC Solar was responsible for the EPC phase of the project. The project utilised a total of 864 IBC PolySol 235 DS modules and 12 Sunny Tripower 17000TL inverters.
Now complete, the project is under contract with Meram Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (MEDAŞ), the region’s power distribution company which was specifically established to market the power produced by the Konya plant. The plant will generate around 300,000 kWh of output annually with a nominal capacity of approximately 200kWp.
