San Diego-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company Swinerton Renewable Energy has wrapped up work on a 6MW PV plant using NEXTracker technology.
The plant, located in Lancaster, California, will offer 12,000,000kWh of renewable energy through a long-term power purchase agreement.
George Hershman, vice president, division manager of Swinerton Renewable Energy, said: “This is our second solar project deploying NEXTracker technology. We were very impressed with NEXTracker’s product features on our first project using their technology, and suggested opportunities to improve NEXTracker’s design for even more installation flexibility. NEXTracker’s engineers listened to our feedback and evolved the product to satisfy our needs very rapidly. We saw a 30% improvement in construction speed with the enhanced version of the product.”
