Renewable energy company Duke Energy has announced plans to develop two PV projects in North Carolina with a combined generation capacity of 75MW.

The first project will be a 60MW site that will be constructed near Monroe in Union County. Strata Solar in Chapel Hill will design and develop the installation, which will be built on 161 hectares of land.

The 15.4MW Mocksville Solar Facility in Davie County will be developed near Mocksville and wil be located on 44 hectares of land.

Both projects, if approved, will start construction in March 2016 and are expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
