Electronics firm Huawei will utilise its "FusionSolar Smart PV Solution" at a 2MW PV plant located in Okinawa, Japan.

The plant, owned by supermarket retailer KOBE BUSSAN CO and built by Japan-based PowerMax — a subsidiary of PV module manufacturer ZNShine — was connected to the gird in March 2015.

When operating at top capacity, the installation boasts a daily electricity generation of 9.617MWh, leading to a PV system performance ratio of up to 94% when radiation is at its highest.

Huawei also used string inverters with IP65 certified protection for the project, ensuring 25 years of maintenance-free operation in an environment with high levels of salt mist.
