Argentina has seen the connection of what is said to be the country’s second utility-scale PV power plant.

The 1MW Terrazas del Portezuelo plant, commissioned by Spanish firm Ingeteam in September, is also the first PV project of its scale in the San Luis province in central Argentina.

The project was built by local firm Coradir and will supply power to buildings occupied by the provincial government, which funded the project to the tune of ARS37 million (US$4.3 million).

In addition to commissioning work, Ingeteam also supplied six of its inverters to the 4,080-module array.
