Size: 56MW

US power producer Dominion Virginia Power (DVP) has proposed three solar projects for the US state of Virginia with a combined capacity of 56MW.

Dominion filed the three installations, which would be developed in the Powhatan, Louise and Isle of Wight counties, with Virginia’s State Corporation Commission and added that the projects would be completed by December 2016 if permission were approved.

The plans consist of the 17MW Scott Solar plant, which would be built on 66 hectares of land in Powhatan County, the 20MW Whitehouse Solar site in Louisa County and the 19MW Woodland Solar site in Isle of Wight County.

Dominion added that if permission was granted, construction on the sites would begin next spring, with the total cost of the three projects estimated at US$129.5 million.
