PSEG Solar Source advised that its acquisition of juwi solar’s 15MW DC solar project in Milford, Delaware, has been completed. JSI will remain as the engineer, procure and oversee the construction of the solar site as well as perform O&M services for the installation. PSEG Solar Source noted that it expects construction to begin this month.
The Delaware solar farm will be owned by PSEG Solar Source, a subsidiary of PSEG, and will see the energy produced sold under a PPA to Delaware Municipal Electric. It is expected that upon its completion, slated for Q4 2012, US$50 million Milford Solar Farm will be the largest of its kind in the state. This represents the fifth solar project built by JSI for PSEG Solar Source.
“We are proud to have closed our fifth solar project transaction with PSEG Solar Source and to have expanded into a new market in the United States.” said Michael Martin, CEO of juwi solar Inc. “Our development efforts for the Milford project have been a great success, and we now look forward to building and operating a solar project in the state of Delaware.”
