Solar mounting system company PanelClaw advised that it had begun high-volume manufacturing of its ballasted solar mounting systems at several of its facilities throughout North America. Additionally, the company revealed that it had opened a new 5,200 square foot innovation and testing lab at its North Andover headquarters in Massachusetts.
The company advised that the move to high-volume production would allow it to better support the increased partner demand for its products and that the expanded production and automation has brought its capacity to over 550MW in North America.
As for its Massachusetts based innovation lab, PanelClaw noted that the facility is home to its research and development centre. The company will pursue the development of new products, along with cultivating better safety and reliability testing.
“We have introduced a new product in each of the last 4 years,” said Mark Gies, PanelClaw VP of innovation and technology. “The new lab will accelerate the development of the next generation of mounting solutions and enhance our testing and certification programs.”
PanelClaw will be exhibiting its ballasted mounting systems at Solar Power International in Dallas, Texas, October 18-20; an event that will see the company display its ground-mounted Panda Bear solution for the first time.
