AC solar systems provider Ready Solar and microinverter company Enphase Energy have expanded their relationship, with the purveyor of the Solar in a Box self-contained power unit agreeing to use the microinverters in all of its preassembled systems in 2010.
The companies first starting cooperating in 2008, when in August of that year Ready Solar began shipping its products equipped with the Enphase modular devices.
“Ready Solar was one of the early adopters of the Enphase microinverter technology,” says Paul Nahi, CEO of Enphase. “We are very excited to partner with them in their vision to create a solar appliance that will reduce installation costs while increasing safety, reliability, and energy harvest.”
“Enphase’s high-quality product and exceptional customer support makes the decision to extend our relationship an easy one,” notes Ready Solar CEO Bob Giles. “Over the past 18 months, the feedback from our customers has been outstanding.”
Contractors can buy complete, easy-to-install solar electric systems from their local electrical product distributors, according to Ready Solar, which services this market with more than 120 manufacturers’ sales representatives across 40 states and Canada.
“We have spent the past two years building out our sales channels and establishing our product as the easiest way for contractors to get into the solar business,” adds Giles. “Our relationship with Enphase along with significant recent reductions in our manufacturing costs have set us up for a very successful 2010.”
