In an effort to support and get closer to its distributor base across Europe, REC is launching its first ‘Partner Program’ including a dedicated web portal, where partners can gain access to marketing resources, training material, technical support, displays and from 2011, REC’s online shop, all in local languages.
The Program is said to also provide visibility into REC’s distribution strategy, based on transparent rules. All partners are required to sign a supply agreement contract and to complete a business plan outlining mutual commitments and joint go-to-market initiatives. ‘Platinum’ partners are expected to enjoy a range of exclusive benefits, though these were not highlighted.
“We are excited to announce the REC Partner Program created in the field, with the insight of our best distribution partners,” said Asmund Fodstad, Senior Vice President, REC Solar. “Our key objective is to build a mutually beneficial and long term relationship. Our program gives clear visibility over our distribution strategy. The first edition offers our partners a portfolio of services and benefits that will truly help them grow their business profitably.”
During 2011, REC will launch the second phase of the Partner Program, dedicated to project partners.
